Auditions
The Young Artists' Platform scheme, founded in 1983, is sponsored by The Tillett Trust. In 2009 it will be offering the young musicians selected to take part in the scheme opportunities of performing at the Wigmore Hall and where possible at other established venues around the UK. The Tillett Trust will also offer the chosen artists funding for publicity material, which may include a session with a professional photographer, the producing of publicity material and recording a demo tape. Young Artists' Platform auditions are held in private; the artists selected are not ranked in any order of merit and no financial prizes are awarded.
Audition programme: candidates are invited to present a programme of not more than 12 minutes playing time using music of their own choice. They are advised to select a variety of music from different genres which they consider will show their talent to its best advantage.
