The main function of the Trust
is to make one-off awards to young musicians
to help them undertake performance related projects
designed to further their careers. In the main
these awards are made to individuals rather than
organisations or other charities. Typical projects
which attract funding are short performance courses;
specialist coaching prior to performance of new
repertoire; travel costs to participate in international
competitions.
No funds are normally available
for full-time educational courses (either undergraduate
or postgraduate), the purchase of new instruments,
commissioning of new works or commercial recordings.
Applicants should apply to the Administrator
sending full details of their project including
an outline budget, together with details of their
training and career to date, two written references,
a recent demo tape/CD and press cuttings and
any other relevant material.
Grants are normally
in the range of £250
- £2,000.
No further grants are available for the 2009/2010 season. |
